Take Down the Bird Feeder?

I bought a bird feeder. I hung it on my back porch and
filled it with seed.

Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage
of the continuous flow of free and easily accessible food.

But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the
patio, above the table, and next to the barbecue.

A Speech We’ll Never Hear

WOULDN’T IT BE GREAT TO TURN ON THE TV AND HEAR ANY U.S. PRESIDENT, DEMOCRAT OR REPUBLICAN GIVE THE FOLLOWING SPEECH?

My Fellow Americans: As you all know, the defeat of the Iraq regime has been completed.

Since congress does not want to spend any more money on this war, our mission in Iraq is complete.

Democrats Deserved Victory Yesterday

The Democrats now control the house, and may even take the Senate by the time the dust settles, and all I can say it that they deserved it. They deserve it, because the Republicans did not.

Showing ID to Vote

The House passed a bill by a vote of 228-196 that would require voters to provide photo identification in the 2008 election, and by 2010, voters in federal elections will be required to present photo identification showing that they are U.S. citizens. States will be required to provide, and deliver the ID cards at no charge to all citizens that cannot afford to pay the nominal fee
Even though we already need ID to buy beer, get a job, rent an apartment, or even to buy cigarrettes, 196 of our elected representatives voted against this bill citing a variety of reasons.

The Pope Should Apologize because…

According to the news I saw when I woke up today:

Pope Benedict XVI apologized in person on Sunday for offending some Muslims with a recent quotation from a medieval text that said Islamic teachings on holy war were “evil and inhuman.”
